Now, with two full length albums under their belt and a continuous tour schedule, Sol Seed is touring more and more reaching across the entire United States including Hawaii. They have plans to hit Europe, New Zealand, Jamaica and Mexico in the near future. With 5 members, each member boasting very different influences and skill sets, Sol Seed’s depth and volume of sound increased exponentially. Sol Seed is pursued as not only an occupation and passion, but a movement, a lifestyle. With an infectious enthusiasm for life and an unequivocal knack to communicate its beauty, the group shares their message of perspectivism and unconditional love through uplifting music rooted in the soul. Origins: This Oregon based band got their start in 2009 when songwriters Michael Lennon and Michael Sorensen joined hands with fellow friend and musician Benny Pezzano through a Southern Oregon open mic. A profound synergy was all but tangible as their creative forces coalesced, and they immediately began to grow a diverse collection of original music. Sol Seed was taken under the wing of their musical Godfather, Frankie Hernandez, and began touring; opening with their originals and backing Frankie as the headliner. This experience grew the band’s musicianship exponentially in many ways and allowed them to get a jump start in the world of music. They soon joined with Native American Award winning guitarist and long time friend, Kenny Sequoia Lewis, and in October 2010, transplanted to Eugene to pursue life and music. Soon after they linked up with MC, keyboardist, didgeridoo player and percussionist Sky Guasco. Sky was originally taken on as a “manager,” but it was quickly discovered that his musical skills matched, if not exceeded, his management skills and his place on the stage became undeniable. Shortly after this development a series of rather serendipitous events led Saxophonist Graeme Pletscher into a crowded practice room for what would become a day of legend. The band took Eugene by storm playing almost every weekend at a different venue throughout the city. After establishing a strong musical family in Oregon the band began to branch out further into the NorthWest. In September 2013, after years of juggling school and work the band decided to take the leap and make music a full-time career. While Saxophonist Graeme Pletscher was unable to make this leap to go on the road he can often be found at shows in Oregon.
